In NZ, we support the plastics market primarily with Covestro’s leading polymer materials – including polycarbonates, polycarbonate blends, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and TPU film. These are used in diverse markets such as, healthcare and medical, electrical housings, animal management and industrial. Working together with our clients we offer technical support for polymer developments, including assessing suitable polymers, mould and part design and processing support.
In foam production in ANZ we can support the formulation development for the production of all PU foam grades including viscoelastics, and the colourants to uniquely identify products in the local market.
In NZ we work with Vanderbilt for rubber processing aids and with Hansen & Rosenthal for anti-ozonate oils and waxes. Through our partnership with Lanxess we offer many specialty chemicals including plasticisers, flame retardants, specialist emulsifiers and anti-hydrolysis agents that improve finished products for many plastics, foam and rubber manufacturers.
