The recent visit of Dr. Dietrich Tegtmeyer to New Zealand for the AICLST (Asian International Conference for Leather Science and Technology) gave us the opportunity to organise an on-site mini symposium with a group of 25 people from two of the major tanning groups in NZ at a venue in Whanganui. The symposium was very successful, and a huge amount of practical information was passed on to the audience by a number of excellent papers delivered by Dr Tegtmeyer.
