Wan Ja Shan was founded in 1945 with the simple mission of creating the finest quality naturally brewed soy sauce. The sauce was crafted under the tutelage of Buddhist Monks and it is being brewed. The neighbours claimed the sauce was so savoury that the powerful scent would travel miles to tantalise the taste buds across thousands of kitchens. That led to the creation of the Wa Ja Shan brand name, which literally means ‘The Aroma of 10,000 Houses’.
